About ten years ago I was living in a lovely little town called Ennistymon, Co.Clare on the west coast of Ireland. Apart from being a quaint seaside town it had the happy coincidence of being a gathering place for every hippy and eco warrior in western Europe and my were they a “gay” bunch. Over eco sourced coffee and organic scones a conversation began about mooncups. Aghast I listened to the gory details of how this cup was inserted into the vagina and it collected menstrual blood. Then if that wasn’t enough one said that she kept it and pour it out in the woods every full moon. Well I blanched and quickly excused myself shuddering!
